Although St. Dominic RHS has been around for over 60 years, its new state of the art school building is only 5 years old. This beautiful campus was made possible through the hard work of hundreds, maybe even thousands of people. The two men who became the driving force for the building were our late principal Mr. G. Michael Welch and the former bishop of the diocese of Portland, Bishop Joseph.
This school is nothing short of a miracle. Founded purely on donations, the new St. Dom’s campus provides a wonderful atmosphere for the students to learn in. The school celebrated this anniversary through many different activities. On Friday, the St. Dom’s community celebrated mass together, followed by a pep rally. There was a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday to help kick off the new G. Michael Welch Tuition Assistance Program. On Sunday, there was a presentation and social for the St. Dom’s community. The main message of the presentation was to look ahead into the school’s promising future.
