LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education will conduct three executive training programs for local small business owners and managers. The workshops will bring local experts to the classroom.

“Marketing in a TiVo Age: How to Get Noticed” will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Shipyard Lounge at the Colisee. The workshop will be conducted by Candace Sanborn of Encompass Marketing. Participants will find out how to combine traditional with marketing strategies with fresh new ideas. The cost is $30 for Lewiston residents and $35 for nonresidents.

“Business Writing in the Age of Technology” is an intense workshop on business writing. Christina Sachs is a local artist, writer and business consultant. Participants will take away a few quick tips to make their business communications more effective. The class is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Lewiston Adult Education, Lewiston High School. The cost is $30/$35 per participant.

“Effective Hiring for Small Businesses” is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Lewiston Adult Education. Tom Jarvis, director of human resources for the Lewiston School Department, will share strategies so that small businesses can attract and retain key employees. The cost is $30/$35 per participant.
