LEWISTON – The Abnaki District of the Boy Scouts of America, Pine Tree Council, kicked off its Friends of Scouting Campaign with the second annual Breakfast with the Maineiacs on Jan. 16 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Speakers included Maineiacs Head Coach Clem Jodoin and Assistant Coach Jeff Guay. Breakfast Steering Committee Chairman Bert LaBonte and Eagle Scout Dan Warner of Troop 109 in Lisbon Falls also addressed the audience. Jared Lussier of Troop 116 in Lewiston led the pledge of allegiance and Chip Morrison served as the Master of Ceremonies.

More than $2,500 in gifts and pledges were collected, which will be applied to the district’s goal of raising $33,000 by June 30 through community and family campaigns.
