STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Kevin Reed scored 21 points to lead Maine to a 74-66 victory over Stony Brook on Thursday night. Junior Bernal added 19 points for the Black Bears (9-11, 4-4 America East), who held a 27-25 lead at halftime.
Ricky Luca had a game-high 22 points for the Seawolves (7-13, 2-6). Emanuel Neto added 13 points and 16 rebounds for Stony Brook.
UMA 65, UMPI 53
AUGUSTA – For the second night in a row Deon Cheers led all scorers by dumping in 26 points to lead the University of Maine at Augusta to a 65-53 victory over the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Leading 36-20 at the half, UMA kept the pressure on UMPI, recording its fifth win in a row to improve to 8-6. Dan Duplissie chipped in with 13 points while Jonathan Hill added 11 points.

BANGOR – Erica Davis drained nine baskets and added six free throws for a team-high 24 points to lead the University of Maine at Presque Isle to a 93-55 win over the University of Maine at Augusta on Thursday.
Aleigh Mills, a former star at Kents Hill, scored a career-high 28 points for the Moose (5-11).
Liza Maynard (19), Julie Wescott (12) and Collette Sloat (12) also reached double figures for the Owls (7-6), who led 52-25 at the half.
