OES to initiate

LISBON FALLS – Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold a special meeting for the purpose of initiation at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Lisbon Falls Masonic Hall. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. All members of the order are invited to attend.

Musical group

LEWISTON – Women who play a musical instrument (ability to read music would be helpful) are invited to join a group of women musicians who get together just to play music. Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners of the New England-wide STaC game at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 23 were: first, Patricia Smith and Shirley West; second in A and B, first in C, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; third, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; fourth, Martine Begert and Jeanine Kivus; second in C, Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzynski.

Winners of the regular club game at Schooner Estates on Jan. 24 were: first, Mary Leahey and Paul Barber; second, Martine Begert and David Lock; third, Les Buzzell and John Hackett.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 783-1734 for information about all duplicate games.

Valentine dance

TOPSHAM – Topsham Parks and Recreation will sponsor its seventh annual Father-Daughter Valentine Ball from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Mt. Ararat Middle School gym.

There will be advanced ticket sales only and tickets are $27 per father/daughter ($5 for each additional child) and $37 for non-Topsham residents.
