LISBON – The Lisbon Library Department has announced a new program for children age 18 months to 3 years titled “Toddler Time,” to be held from 10 to 10:25 a.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Parents are invited to participate in the developmentally-appropriate language enrichment and literacy program, which will include songs, rhymes and clapping hands.

Supervision will be provided during Toddler Time so siblings, ages 3 to 5, can read books and play with the toys while waiting for the preschool storytime program to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Preschool storytime is held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Children can enter the world of literature through stories, rhymes and music, ending the session with a craft project to take home.

While the older children immerse themselves in age-appropriate books, language enrichment activities and motor skill development activities, the toddlers can use the toys and games in the Children’s Room.

The programs are free for Lisbon residents. Non-residents are required to pay an annual library membership fee. For more information, call 353-6564.
