Supper, show

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard Public Library is sponsoring a Cabin Fever Supper and Talent Show on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Smith Hall. The all-you-can-eat supper will feature homemade chili, beef stew, corn chowder, assorted breads and pies and will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. The amateur talent show will begin at 6 p.m.

Members of the public are asked to bring an instrument, something they would like to share or sing along. No experience is necessary.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3.50 for children, and a family can eat for just $15. Take-outs will be available. All proceeds will benefit the library. For more information, call Lisa Laflin at 652-2283.

Basket bingo

WEST FARMINGTON – A limited number of tickets are being sold for the Farmington Rotary Club’s Basket Bingo to be held Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Farmington Elks Lodge on School Street.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the games start at 1 p.m. The event will feature prizes of collectible, American-made, hand-crafted Longaberger baskets filled with gifts donated by area businesses. There will also be raffle tickets for extra prizes.

Refreshments will include homebaked cakes and cookies, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and other goodies.

This is a major fundraiser for the Rotary Club, and all proceeds are returned to the community in the form of support for programs for youth, the elderly, schools and those in need.

Women’s event

WILTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will sponsor a program, “Capture the Memories! With Scrapbooking” from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Boiler Room.

There will be a display and sharing by Linda Brackley, B&B Scrapping and Stamping, Farmington. Georgia Basko will speak on “Choice, Changes and Challenges – How Do We Cope?”
