With one week remaining in the Boys Division of the Western Maine Youth Basketball League (Grades 5-6), Farmington and Lewiston Rec are deadlocked for first place with identical 9-1 records. Mountain Valley and Oxford Hills are just a game behind the leaders.

Farmington finishes the regular season Sunday with a road game at Wilton. Lewiston Rec will host Oxford Hills that day, and Mountain Valley will play at AYS.

Farmington earned 2 wins in recent action. The first was a 54-16 triumph over Lisbon Rec as Zach Kendall netted 13 and Ryan Flanagan 10. Mason Haley scored 6 for Lisbon. Farmington also trimmed Auburn Rec 50-29 as Jordan Whitney collected 15 and Flanagan and Chad Luker 10 each. Drew Baker led Auburn with 10. Tyler Cabrel was next with 5.

Lewiston Rec also claimed 2 victories, the first a 59-12 romp over AYS of Jay-Livermore. Steven Patrie paced Lewiston with 18 points. Donny Aggossou added 13 and Corey Morin 10. Nathan Hamblin tallied 6 for AYS. Lewiston also outlasted Mountain Valley 65-57 as Patrie dropped in 20 and Ryan Rossignol 16. Dylan Akers led MV with 18. Ryan Nichols added 15 and Tyler Smith 12.

Oxford Hills also claimed 2 wins. Jordan Croteau netted 19, John Frechette 15 and Dillon Frechette 13 as OH rolled past North Franklin 54-7. Amos Withee, Alex Viles, and Colby Wheaton were all contributors for North Franklin. OH turned back Turner 41-34 as John Frechette scored 14 and Ryan Godin 9. Kyle Hewitt poured in 20 for Turner. Levi Moria Added 6.

In other action, Mountain Valley beat Turner 51-37 as Jacob Theriault collected 16 and Nichols and Adam Volkernick 12 each. Hewitt tossed in 23 for Turner. Moria added 6.

Lisbon edged North Franklin 27-24 as Mason Haley netted 10 and Sam Coombs 9. Calum Dixon and Noah Rousseau registered 8 each for North Franklin.

Scores are not available for the Wilton-Auburn game and the Wilton-AYS game.

Following the regular season, a single-elimination tournament will be held at Oxford Hills, Feb. 10-11.
