FARMINGTON – Isaiah Brathwaite led Mt. Blue with 14 points and Art Trask and Adam Gilbert each added 13 Tuesday night to propel the Cougars past the Lawrence Bulldogs, 58-37, in a KVAC boys’ basketball clash.

Mt. Blue (13-3) limited Lawrence to six points in the first period and extended its lead at the end of every quarter en route to a season sweep, protecting its grip on third place in the Eastern Class A Heal points.

Cameron Oakes and Jon Doyon each chalked up 10 points for Lawrence (9-6).

Cape Elizabeth 81, Poland 57

POLAND – Cape Elizabeth jumped out to a 15-point lead at the end of the first quarter and rolled to an 81-57 WMC boys’ basketball win over Poland.

Thirteen different players scored for the Capers (9-6), topped by Will Hall’s 13 points on the strength of three 3-pointers. Nick Douglass drained four 3-pointers and led all scorers with 19 points for Poland (5-10). Mimi Knowles added eight points, while Joe Douglass tore down eight rebounds.

Winthrop 80, Lisbon 41

LISBON – Sam Leclerc dropped in 20 points as Winthrop pulled away with an 80-41 victory over Lisbon.

Kevin Hart and Tim Gingras each contributed 10 points for the Ramblers (14-1) who led 33-22 at the break and outscored the Greyhounds (2-13) by a 47-19 margin in the second half.

Scott Eck and Steve Michaud led the way for Lisbon with 12 points each. Michaud also pulled down eight boards.

Liv. Falls 53, Jay 47

LIVERMORE FALLS – Davis Mercier scored 16 points, Brian Castonguay added 10, and the two Livermore Falls standouts combined for 23 rebounds to chase away rival Jay, 53-47.

Zach Keene added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Andies (9-6), who used an 18-12 run in the third quarter to open up a 35-27 lead. Austin Clark led all scorers with 19 points for the Tigers (4-11).

Mt. Ararat 61, Lewiston 49

TOPSHAM – Bobby Van Note scored 15 points to pace Mt. Ararat to a 61-49 victory over Lewiston.

Sean Dostie chipped in for the Eagles (8-8) with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Aaron Lever tallied 11 points and dished off nine assists. The Blue Devils (3-12) were paced by Eddie West and Abdi Abdi with 12 points apiece, while Wesley Myers added eight.

Lewiston held a 23-20 advantage at the half, then Mt. Ararat used a 28-18 run in the final frame to seal the victory.

Winslow 58, Oak Hill 48

WINSLOW – Adam Puiia connected for 17 points as Winslow overcame a five-point, halftime deficit to defeat Oak Hill by a 58-48 score.

James Wood helped Puiia out in the scoring column with 16 points. The duo combined for 17 points in the second half as the Black Raiders (8-8) outscored the Raiders (1-14) 31-13 in the second half.

Kory Vanek led Oak Hill with 11 points while Bronson Drury added 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Mt. Abram 41, Monmouth 38

SALEM – Wyatt Johnson netted 12 points and pulled down eight rebounds to propel Mt. Abram to a 41-38 victory over Monmouth.

Chris Smith chipped in for the Roadrunners (4-11) with 10 points. The Mustangs (5-10) were paced by Dylan Reny with 14 points, while Ronnie Hobson added eight.

Mtn. Valley 52, Telstar 28

RUMFORD – Owen Jones poured in 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds Tuesday to lift Mountain Valley to a 52-28 win over Telstar.

D.J. Gerrish added 12 points and Andy Shorey chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds for the Falcons (13-2). Ryan Kimball topped Telstar (7-9) with nine points, while Louis Thornton scored seven.

Gray-NG 47, St. Dom’s 34

GRAY – Jordan Hebert popped in 20 points and Gray-New Gloucester shot 8-of-11 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter to hold off St. Dom’s with a 47-34 win.

The Patriots (4-11) led the entire game and kept the Saints (11-4) off balance all night long.

St. Dom’s was led by Joe Bonneau’s 11 points.
