DIXFIELD – The Neighborly Senior Citizens met on Jan. 17 with 47 attending. The meeting called to order by President Connie Tutlis, who read several humorous selections.
Election of officers was held as follows: president, Tutlis; vice president, Marge Harlow; secretary, Carol Gallant; and treasurer, Larry Kerr.
Appointed to the Kitchen Committee were Joyce Welch, Evelyn Canwell and Ethel Gordon. Ruperta Nichols was appointed membership chairwoman. Following the meeting, entertainment was provided by Norm and Betty DeCoteau. Trip sheets for 2007 were passed out. Membership is open to anyone age 50 and over at a cost of $5 a year.
Scheduled trips are as follows: Monday, March 12, St. Patrick’s at Indian Head Resort; cost, $43.50; Friday, April 6, Disney on Ice, Portland; $31, which includes bus and show; Thursday, April 12, last trip to Lac Megantic for Cabana Le Sucre; $35, bus, meal and music. The next meeting will be Feb. 21, with entertainment by Del Parker. The meeting will start at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck dinner.
