LEWISTON – Experts from Northeast Bank and Northeast Financial, the bank’s investment division, will host two workshops designed to give actionable ideas and provide real-life solutions to help participants get their financial lives in order. Workshops will be held at Lewiston High School on Feb. 7 and Feb 28, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m..

Launching the first session, “Financial Planning: A Must for Everyone,” is Northeast Bank President and CEO Jim Delamater, who is also the author of “The Great American Mismatch.” Delamater will explain the importance of developing a financial plan, steps to choosing an advisor and pitfalls to avoid. Joining Delamater is certified financial planner Kevin Carbin, who will walk through the planning process, with tips on setting goals, designing strategies and monitoring results. Participants will receive a copy of “The Great American Mismatch.”

The second workshop, “Steps to Accumulating Wealth – So You Can Finish Rich,” hosted by certified financial planner Leslie Couper, builds on session one. It will provide additional information on how taxes and insurance fit into a financial plan, while providing tips to help begin accumulating wealth. Joining Couper, are certified insurance counselor Debora Hillier and certified financial planner Christian Bishop. Participants will also receive a copy of “The Great American Mismatch.”

Registration Fee: $15 per session includes materials. All proceeds support Lewiston Adult Education.
