GORHAM – Zula M. Galarneau, 85, formerly of 3 Brook St., Mexico, died Monday, Jan. 29, at the Gorham House.
She was born in Grafton, N.B., Canada, on June 21, 1921, a daughter of William and Claudine (Nye) Wheeler.
Zula was educated in New Brunswick schools and attended nursing school in Brunswick.
She was employed for many years as a nurse’s aide at Rumford Community Hospital.
Surviving are three sons, Peter W. Galarneau and wife, Sue, of Virginia, Harold L. Galarneau and companion, Sue McPhee, of Dixfield, and Leonard O. Galarneau of Rumford; three sisters, Anna Lawson, Clara Billings, and Iva Jones; two brothers, Leonard Wheeler and John Wheeler; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, William R. Galarneau; and two brothers, Orville Wheeler and Edgar Wheeler.
