SOUTH PARIS – Thomas B. Leeman, 90, of Oxford, died Friday, Feb. 2, at the Maine Veterans Home.
He was born in New Vineyard on June 5, 1916, the son of Carroll and Mabel Baud Leeman. He attended schools in Farmington and served in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a woodturner at Smith’s Woodturning Co. in Farmington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a Red Sox and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed horse pulling at the county fairs.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris; three sons, Richard and his wife, Cheryl, of Temple, Steven and his wife, Nancy, of Lewiston, and Gordon and his wife, Marlene, of Oxford; two daughters, Nancy Valente and her husband, Irving, of Poland, and Dorothy Nurmi and her husband, Bill, of Oxford; a brother, Fred of Kingfield; and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Thibeau of Norway.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Janice; and a son, Peter.
