LEWISTON – Gertrude L. Wing, 67, of Wentzell Road in Litchfield died Friday afternoon, Feb. 2, at Central Maine Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Jan. 27.

She was born Dec. 8, 1939, in Providence, R.I., the daughter of Joseph and Zerilla Heroux Robillard. She attended Lewiston High School and graduated in 1957.

Gertrude was a wonderful mother and housewife. On Aug. 16, 1958, Gertrude married Richard Franklin Wing in Sabattus. He passed away Nov. 5, 1997.

She enjoyed knitting, plastic canvas and camping at Natanis Point and Rangeley. Gertrude was a member of the Corner Stone Baptist Church in Litchfield.

She is survived by five sons, Richard S. Wing, Joseph E. Wing and his wife, Deborah, David F. Wing and his wife, Michele, Philip W. Wing and Kenneth R. Wing, all of Litchfield; two daughters, Kathryn E. Vye and her husband, Carlton, of Sabattus, and Christine M. Munsey and her husband, Thomas, of Litchfield; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Robillard of Florida.

She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Robert and Shawn Vye.
