LEWISTON – The wedding of Amy Louise Lachance and Robert Lionel Charest Jr. was held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Holy Family Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Kenneth Dakin officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Charest is the daughter of Laurier and Christine Lachance of Lewiston. Mr. Charest is the son of Henrietta Charest of Lewiston and the late Robert L. Charest Sr.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless beaded gown and carried a cluster of red roses and stephanotis with pearl accents.

Attendants for the bride were Laurie Lavertu and Claire Lachance, sisters of the bride, Lorraine Champagne, sister of the bridegroom, and Kim Gendron and Tracie Wright, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Grace Lavertu, niece of the bride, and flower girls were Emily Lavertu, niece of the bride, and Julia Charest, niece of the bridegroom.

A brother of the bridegroom, Raymond Charest, served as best man, and ushers were Norm Baril, Marcel Lauze, Moe Vachon and Marc Royer, friends of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Andrew Lavertu, nephew of the bride, and Ryan Charest, nephew of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at Carriage House Plus in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to North Conway, N.H. A honeymoon is planned in the future. The couple is residing in Litchfield.

The bride is a graduate of Lewiston High School and received her bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the University of Southern Maine. She is employed at Pettingill School.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lewiston High School and is self-employed as a bakery franchise owner with Pepperidge Farm.
