DURHAM, N.H. – Kevin Reed had 15 points and eight rebounds and Maine used a 18-4 second-half run to beat New Hampshire 65-56 on Saturday.

Junior Bernal and Jon Sheets combined to score all 18 points of the run as Maine pulled away in the second half. The Black Bears (11-12, 6-5 America East) have won six of their past seven games.

Jermaine Anderson compiled 19 points and three assists for New Hampshire (8-16, 4-7 AE), which has lost four consecutive games.

Maine led 30-22 at halftime but UNH cut the lead to 44-42 on an Anderson free throw with 12 minutes remaining, before Maine pulled away.

Tyrece Gibbs was the only other Wildcat in double-figures with 14 points and five rebounds.

The Black Bears shot 44 percent for the contest.
