TURNER – Wayne P. Morris, 65, of Howes Corner Road, died very unexpectedly at his home Saturday morning, Feb. 3.

He was born in Leeds on Aug. 5, 1941, the son of George G. and Irma (Alden) Morris. Wayne graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner. He continued his education at Husson College in Bangor, earning a double degree in business management and teaching.

In 1960, he married Carol Rollins of Turner; she passed away in 1982. Wayne later married Sheila Perry Kenney of Lewiston on Feb. 11, 1983.

Wayne worked for W.D. Matthews for 12 years. In the mid-1970s, he purchased Tully’s Garage, which is now known as Morris Service Center in North Turner. Many of Wayne’s friends and customers gathered there on a daily basis, and you could always get a laugh and some interesting conversation during your visit.

Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He and Sheila enjoyed time together with their family and friends. He loved gardening, their camp in Eustis and just enjoying life. He will truly be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Wayne was a past master of the Nezinscot Masonic Lodge 101 of Turner.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Turner; two sons, Todd Morris and his wife, Pam, of Hinesburg, Vt., and Corey Morris and his wife, Michele, of Leeds; two daughters, Deana Pierce and her husband, Michael, of Turner, and Michelle Richardson and her husband, Corey, also of Turner; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Morris of Leeds and Malcolm Morris and his wife, Nancy, of Livermore Falls and Florida; and a sister-in-law, Jean Morris of Turner.
