WESTBROOK – Arthur Knoll, 77, of Portland, passed away after a brief illness at the Springbrook Nursing Home.

He was born in Little Falls, Minn., on July 7, 1929, the son of Frank Knoll and Rose (Chmrowski). He was educated in the Minnesota school systems.

He worked with lumber at sawmills. He enjoyed working as an auto mechanic, watching wrestling, listening to country music and going on picnics. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and collecting records.

He leaves behind a daughter, Marjorie Knoll of Turner; two sons, Stephen and Author Knoll; a brother, Paul Knoll; a sister, Roseanne Knoll; many grandchildren living throughout the United States, Carol, Felicia, Crissy and TT, Cody, Amanda, Christina, Stephanie, Kim, Lynn and Bonnie; great-grandchildren, Nadine, Ethan, Eligha, Marcus, Savannah and Destiny.

He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Frankie; and a good friend, Dennis Haddon.
