Colorado is a state that is in the Rocky Mountain area. I think it is a beautiful state because there are numerous ski mountains there that have deep, powdery snow. I would love to ski at it’s world-famous resorts.

Colorado became the 38th state in 1876. Colorado is a scenic place with lots of natural beauty, but about two fifths of the landscape is dry, flat plains. Cattle and sheep live on the mountains and plains, and the crops grown are potatoes, sugar beets, wheat, corn, and hay. The leading industries of Colorado are food processing and manufacturing computers and electronics. In the winter, there is beautiful fluffy snow on the ski mountains like Aspen, Steamboat, Wolf Creek, Snowmass, Silverton, and more. That is the best part of Colorado.

This state is home to the second highest mountain in the contiguous United States, which is Mount Elbert. It is 14,440 feet above sea level. This mountain shows the true beauty of Colorado, this being just one of so many amazing peaks in the state.

Colorado is famous throughout the world for its brilliant snowy peaks. It is a major destination for skiers everywhere. Even in the summer it has breathtaking views of mountains and lakes. In my opinion, Colorado is the one of the most scenic states in the nation, and has some awesome ski resorts.
