LEWISTON – The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon program series at USM/Lewiston-Auburn on Friday, Feb. 9, will present a virtual tour of the new Auburn Public Library.

The presentation by Rosemary Waltos, library director, will highlight the building’s architectural history, the features of the 2006 addition and the art work and craftsmanship throughout.

Waltos has been a library administrator for 20 years and Auburn’s director for the past five years. During her career, she has worked on three major public library construction projects, the last two being on historic Carnegie buildings.

The program will be held in Function Room 170 beginning at noon. The cost, which includes lunch, is $6 with advance reservation or $8 at the door, opening at 11:30 a.m. Reservations should be made by noon Thursday, Feb. 8, by phone at 753-6510, or online at usm.maine.edu/lac.
