Land trust planning cross country ski
NORWAY – Depending on snow conditions, the Western Foothills Land Trust will hold its annual cross country ski event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Bob and Mary Van Nest’s farm.
It is one of the trust’s annual fundraisers to benefit the Stewardship Fund, which underwrites such activities as monitoring of easements, baseline data collection, mapping and legal fees.
The trust is committed to the conservation of open land in the Oxford Hills and surrounding area. Over the past few years, this event has had to be canceled due to lack of snow and/or icy conditions.
Interested parties are asked to call 743-8104 a day or two ahead to see if the event will take place. Suggested donations are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and older and free for children under 12.
