KINGFIELD – Police are investigating the theft of seven snowboards from a camp on West Kingfield Road, Franklin County sheriff’s Cpl. Nate Bean said Wednesday.
Entry was gained through a previously broken window between Sunday night and Tuesday, Bean said.
The only items missing were the snowboards, he said.
A family member had left the camp about 6:30 p.m. Sunday and returned Tuesday and discovered the missing snowboards, Bean said.
Feelers have been put out at the ski mountains and other places to be on the lookout for the boards.
Bean said he is waiting on a list of the missing boards to be faxed from the camp owner, who lives in Portland.
Anyone with information on the case can call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department at 778-2680.
