NORWAY – Norway Memorial Library will ring in the Chinese Year of the Boar with two programs for elementary school students during February vacation.
Programs from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, and Thursday, Feb. 22, will feature a variety of activities, including making dragons, fans and lanterns; trying Chinese treats; learning about Chinese calligraphy; and making a name “chop,” or personal stamp; listening to Chinese folk tales; and participating in a dragon parade.
Students in grades kindergarten to six are invited to attend one or both programs. Space is limited; parents must preregister by visiting the library or calling 743-5308 by Saturday, Feb. 17. The library is at 258 Main St.
