PARIS – Several motions and pleas were heard in the Oxford County Superior Court on Thursday by Justice Roland Cole.
Terri Drew, 42, of Oxford was ordered to be held without bail as the latest charges against her are pending.
Drew was arrested and put on a probation hold after police said she broke into a Norway home with a baseball bat and threatened the occupants and their dogs with a small ax she had in her purse.
Officials said she appeared “extremely drugged” at the time, however Attorney Maurice Porter said she could have just been off her medication.
Officials believe that, from tests done, she was on cocaine at the time.
Attorney Maurice Porter opposed the lack of bail, citing that the jail cell that she shared with one other, “a small cell with two beds and a toilet, with no room to walk or stand” was not good for her.
However a jail official said Thursday evening that she was being held in the general population for females, which includes a day area.
Drew has an extensive criminal history of assaults, criminal mischief and violating bail conditions.
Max Tikander, 26, of West Paris pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of unlawful trafficking in heroin.
Police scoured West Paris looking for him after getting a grand jury indictment. They did not find him, but he called and turned himself in Jan. 12.
He is out on bail.
Mark White, 18, of Rumford was ordered to pay restitution, but no jail time, after pleading guilty to burglary charges.
White was arrested Jan. 26, 2006, after confessing to police that he broke into the Ellis Pond Variety store and stole cash, liquor, lottery tickets, cigarettes and other items.
