LEWISTON – L/A Hair Design, 363 Pleasant St., celebrated its grand opening Jan. 4 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Lewiston City Councilor Normand Rousseau and Chip Morrison, president of the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce.

Owner Christine Nichols has five years of experience as a cosmetologist and specializes in color. She offers hair extensions, foils, highlighting, cuts, perms and up-dos. She provides the latest in hair designs, having attended hair shows in Boston and New York to study techniques and styles.

L/A Hair Design is open for everything from individual stylings to wedding parties, men, women and children. Nichols said her goal is to make sure every client is fully satisfied in a pleasant, quiet atmosphere where they can relax and be pampered.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. For appointments, call 786-6909.
