AUBURN – Eloise M. Marquis Onsgard, 89, of Auburn, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

She was born in Madawaska, Nov. 2, 1917, the daughter of Danny and Agnes Bellefleur Cyr. She graduated from the University of Maine and taught for more than 20 years at Fairview Elementary School in Auburn.

On Feb. 21, 1944, she married Majjello Marquis and they resided in Auburn. He passed away on July 25, 1987. On July 29, 1990, she married Bob Onsgard. They spent their summers here in Auburn and their winters in Homestead, Fla. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Onsgard of Homestead, Fla.; one son, Michael Marquis, and wife, Colette, of Nice, France; two daughters, Linda Marquis of Jackson Hole, Wyo. and Paula Dubay, and husband, William, of Auburn; a stepson, Robert Onsgard of Coral Gables, Fla.; two grandchildren, Denise Marquis of Portland and Christopher Dubay of Auburn; and a brother, Armand Cyr of Madawaska.
