LEWISTON – The wedding of Beth Stamboules and Adam Robert Hanson was held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Bates College Chapel. The Rev. Donald Cougle and the Rev. Eric Hanson officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hanson is the daughter of George and Janet Stamboules of Lewiston. Mr. Hanson is the son of Eric and Nancy Hanson of South Paris.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown with embroidery and carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Kara Cougle, friend of the bride, attended as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Elizabeth Duplissis, sister of the bridegroom, and Sarah Love, Rachel Love, Brittany Julian and Ashley Lansley, cousins of the bride. Kylie Burns, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best man for his friend was Matthew Bowles, and ushers were George Stamboules, brother of the bride, Sven Johnson and Matthew Duplissis, brothers-in-law of the bridegroom, and Curtis Roundy and David Stapp, friends of the bridegroom. Jonah Weece, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2002 graduate of Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., with a degree in marketing. She is employed at Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Brunswick.

The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Oxford Hills High School in South Paris and a 1998 graduate of Gordon College in Wenham, Mass., with a degree in English. He is business manager for School Union 74 in Damariscotta.
