Kiwanis speaker

LEWISTON – The Auburn Lewiston Kiwanis Club will welcome Wendy Gamache from the Lewiston Head Start Program as its guest speaker at noon Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Ramada Inn Conference Center.

Taize service

LEWISTON – A Taize service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Trinity Episcopal Church, corner of Spruce and Bates streets.

The meditative service is modeled on the prayer services of the ecumenical community of Taize, France, through song and silent and spoken prayer. All are welcome.

Future Taize services will be held at the church at 6 p.m. Sundays, March 18, April 22 and May 20. For more information, call the church at 782-5700 or coordinator Rose Pruiksma at 786-9693.

Seniors program

LEWISTON – Holy Cross Seniors will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, in the church hall. The guest speaker will be Louise Devlin, a native of Lewiston, who traveled with a group of missionaries to Ecuador in July 2006.

Her topic will be the importance of mission work and her experiences as she ministered to the residents of Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador. She will also have a slide presentation featuring the activities the missionaries were involved in during their stay.

A question and answer session will follow. All are invited to attend. A social and light lunch will end the event.
