WEST GREENWICH, R.I. – Cecile M. Lawrence, 85, a resident of West Greenwich, died Feb. 9.

She was the wife of the late George H. Lawrence.

Born in Lewiston, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Clara (Eli) Bedard.

During World War II, she served in the Women’s Army Corps.

She and her husband opened the first Postal Instant Press store in Fall River, Mass.

She leaves sons, Tom Lawrence and his wife, Cheryl, and Tim Lawrence; grandchildren, Brooke Lawrence and his wife, Christine, Blake Lawrence and his wife, Erin McDonough, and Benjamin Couto; and a great granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Lawrence.

She was the mother of the late Linda Couto and sister of the late Florence McGonagle, and Romeo and Robert Bedard.
