FARMINGTON – The Women’s Business Center at CEI will be offering an orientation opportunity for women on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain Heritage Center, Church Street Commons, 109 Church St. Women who are thinking of starting a business or are in business, as well as people who provide resources for business and economic development in the Western Mountains region are welcome.

Guest speaker for the orientation is Linda Greenlaw, best-selling author of “The Hungry Ocean” and “The Lobster Chronicles,” and the first and only female swordfish captain in the Grand Banks Fleet. Born in Connecticut but raised in Maine, she lives on Isle au Haut. Greenlaw will discuss factors that have contributed to her success as a woman in business.

There is no fee to attend, however, preregistration for the event is required.
