LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Feb. 5 with 33 members present.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture open the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and moment of silence. Mary Groleau led in singing “Abide with Me.”

It was reported Christine Harlow is recovering from back surgery and is receiving physical therapy at Gray Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Augusta where she resides.

Monday was sign-up day for the SeniorsPlus monthly meal, which will consist of chicken stew, marinated vegetables, bread sticks and tropical fruit.

Member Ernie Bickford is also an AARP member and will assist low-income seniors with their income tax returns. He will work from home and those wishing can call him at 897-6081.

Kenny Smith will be at the Monday, Feb. 12, meeting with his popcorn machine and the Jay Elementary School third- and fourth-grade students will entertain.

SeniorsPlus has scheduled a Red Hat party at the Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, N.H., on Tuesday, May 1, for $57. The Chinese auction will be held Monday, Feb. 19, and members can bring whatever they wish.

The 50-50 was won by Eugene Roy and two items donated by Ellie Mitchell and Clemence Moreau were won by Joe Slovak and Irene Hebert.

The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
