FARMINGTON – Area children who are preschool-age and younger are invited to Mallett School between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, for “Fall in Love with Books,” the second free book distribution in this year’s Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program.

RIF is a federally funded program that prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to schools. For the fourth year, Mallett School has received a grant to participate in the program and offer three free books to all its students and area pre-K children over the course of the year. Children are invited to choose from many titles and authors.

The event is the second of three distributions of the 2006/07 school year and is supported in part by the Mallett School PTA. In the case of school cancellation on Feb. 14, the event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 28. For more information, contact Principal Tracy Douglass at 778-3529.
