WILTON – Police are investigating the intentional burning of an ice shack on Wilson Pond about 1 a.m. Saturday, Chief Dennis Brown said Monday.

The shack was unattended and no one was hurt as a result of the fire, he said.

The fire caused about $2,000 in damage, Brown said.

Police have a suspect in the case and expect to charge him by summons either Monday night or early Tuesday, the chief said.

The victim was notified that his shack had been destroyed by another ice fisherman, he said.
