AUBURN – The results are in and once again the Auburn Winter Festival was a success, according to city officials. The Auburn Winter Festival was held Feb. 2 to 4 with a wide variety of activities for all ages.

The winners of the following events are as follows:

“Really Ridiculous Relay Race”: first, WCSH-6, team members Harry Harris, Chris Facchini, Cindy Harris, Tim Macdonald, Kayla Fletcher and Brandon Harris; second, E-Team, Mary Brushwein, Elizabeth Brushwein, Carrie Dunbar, Travis Dunbar, Jason Benner and Tom Tanquay; and third, Middlebury Maineiacs, Max Levine, Mike McCormick, Eva Nixon, Rainey John, Brandon Keller and Kaitlynn Lamie.

Shovel Race: Nor’easter Division, ages 17 and over, first, Matt Lapierre; second, Cindy McConnell; third, Harry Harris; Avalanche Division, ages 11 to 16, Danielle McConnell, Haley McConnell and Cameron Harr.

Children’s Sled Obstacle: Glacier Division, ages 8 to 11, Nathan Alexander, Tyler Cummings and Marsden Jacques; Snowflake Division, ages 5 to 7, Dustin Jordon, Tyler Jalbert and Olivia Cummings.

Downhill Mountain Bike Race: Fred Bassett, Eastham, Mass.; Doug Quinn, Quincy, Mass.; and Donnie Roberts, Saco.

The 2008 Auburn Winter Festival will feature some new and exciting events.
