LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday for Carroll P. Hebert at St. Patrick’s Chapel, with the Rev. Ken Dakin celebrating the Mass, after prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. During Mass readings were presented by a niece, Vicky Lamothe, and a nephew, Ron Preo, who also read the prayer of the faithful. A poem was also read by a granddaughter, Kendra Butcher. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by daughters, Sue Butcher and Sheri Theriault. A formal committal will be held in the spring with military honors at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Preo, Ray Fongemie, Carlton Hebert, Carl Douglass, Dan Whirley and Steve Dennis. A reception of fellowship was held at the VFW Hall in Auburn after the conclusion of services.
