WILTON – A series of Lenten services has been organized by the Methodist pastors of four churches in the Wilton-Livermore Falls area. Pastors who normally lead one of the churches will preach in another church.

The Wednesday United Lenten Services will begin at 7 p.m.

Feb. 21, Ash Wednesday: Wilton United Methodist Church pastor, the Rev. Desmond Parker, will preach at Bartlett Memorial Methodist Church, North Jay.

Feb. 28: Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church and Livermore United Methodist Church Pastor Jordan Shaw will preach at Wilton United Methodist Church.

March 7: Bartlett Memorial United Methodist Church Pastor Elizabeth Bailey Roberts will preach at Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church, Livermore Falls.

March 14: the Rev. Parker will preach at the Livermore Unite Methodist Church.

March 21: Pastor Shaw will preach at Bartlett Memorial United Methodist Church.

March 28: Pastor Roberts will preach at Wilton United Methodist Church.

April 5, Maundy Thursday: the Rev. Parker will preach at Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church.

Each of the four churches will hold Easter services with its own pastor. The Wilton United Methodist Church will join with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, the Dryden Baptist Church and the United Church of Christ, all of Wilton, for an ecumenical Good Friday service.
