AUBURN – Ann L. Bousquet, 88, of Lewiston, passed away at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice Services on Feb. 10.
She was born in Lewiston on July 29, 1918, the daughter of George and Henriette Cormier Lajoie. Educated locally, she married Joseph H. Bousquet on July 6, 1946. He passed away on Oct. 9, 1979.
She was employed as a fancy stitcher at the Bates Manufacturing Co. for more than 17 years. A member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, she was active in the Saints Peter and Paul Society and the Ladies of St. Anne.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne T. Guay of Miramar Beach, Fla., and Jeannine B., and husband, Raymond Plourde, of Portland; five sisters, Adrienne Carpentier, Fern, and husband, Maurice Juneau and Anita Plourde, all of Auburn, Lorraine Clark of South Windsor, Conn., and Carmen, and husband, Larry Carrier, of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Michelle, and husband, Johnny McGinley, Kathryn Guay, Scott, and wife, Laura Drake, Joseph Guay, Peter Plourde, Stephanie Drake and Marc Plourde; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Hayden Drake; two godchildren, the Rev. Normand Carpentier of Windham and Rachel Brady of Scarborough; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Winn of Lewiston and Dot Poitras of Topsham; a son-in-law, Michael Drake; and her dear friend of 59 years, Lucille Hobbs of Lewiston.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Irene Bousquet and Simonne Drake; two brothers, Maurice Lajoie and Joseph “Pete” Lajoie; and a sister, Laurina T. Lajoie, who also passed away on Feb. 10.
