LEWISTON – Robert R. Bussiere, 69, of Seventh Street, Auburn, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Central Maine Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born in Lewiston, March 13, 1937, the son of Leo and Leonie (Lebel) Bussiere. On Nov. 22, 1958, he married the former Constance Jalbert. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Arrowhart Electrical Components.
His memberships include, St. Louis Church, South End Club, L’Montagnard Club, Pastime Club, New Auburn Social, and the former Hurricane and Midtown Clubs.
He was an avid card and cribbage player, Boston sports fan including the Red Sox and Bruins, and loved watching local softball teams.
Survivors include his wife of Auburn; four sons, James of Lewiston, Daniel of Auburn, Thomas of Lewiston and Scott Bussiere, and his wife, Lisa, of Auburn; one daughter, Joan Leclair, and her husband, Stephen, of Livermore; three brothers, Raymond, and his wife, Pauline, of Canton, Richard, and his wife, Claudette and George, and his wife, Carol, all of Lewiston; one sister, Linda Beaulieu, and her husband, Marc, of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, John G. Bussiere on Feb. 4, 1995.
