AUBURN – Patricia E. Weidler has been elected to be a partner at the firm of Linnell, Choate & Webber LLP of Auburn. She joined the firm as an associate in September 2002 after clerking for Justice Jon Levy of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court in Portland.
Weidler received a bachelor of science degree from Cornell University, a M.Ed. from University of Maine at Orono, and a J.D. cum laude from University of Maine School of Law. Her article, “Parental Physical Discipline in Maine and New Hampshire: An Analysis of Two States’ Approaches to Protecting Children from Parental Violence,” was published in Whittier Journal of Child & Family Advocacy in 2003.
Prior to attending law school, she taught high school, adult education and college in the Rumford-Mexico area for more than 10 years while living in Bryant Pond.
Weidler practices in the areas of family law, workers’ compensation, juvenile law and Guardian Ad Litem. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association. She serves on the board of directors for Pine Tree Legal Assistance and is a member of the Justice Action Group, a statewide group that provides leadership and assists in planning and coordinating civil legal services to the indigent. She lives in Auburn.
