LEWISTON – A funeral Mass for Willard J. Langlais was held on Thursday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, after prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Dakin celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The pall was placed on the casket by Mr. Langlais’ family, Gary Langlais, Willard Dube, Brenda Chouinard, Judy Thongsavanh and Daniel Tardif. The readings were done by Marsha Chouinard and Jennifer Dionne. The offertory was brought up to the altar by Danielle Tardif, Amy Thongsavanh and Lisa Chouinard. Pallbearers were Gary Langlais, Marc Chouinard, Daniel Tardif, Willard Dube, Estevan Barajas and Thoune Thongsavanh. The song “Tears in Heaven,” by Eric Clapton, was played after the prayers at the committal. A reception of fellowship was held at Brenda and Marc Chouinard’s home in Auburn, after the committal service at the cemetery.
