BIDDEFORD – Kathleen Aurora Tague, 88, of 11 Osprey Ave., Saco, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, at Southern Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Wellington, March 22, 1918, the daughter of William and Aurora (Fezette) St. Claire. She was educated in Stanhope, Vt., Canada, Berlin, N.H., Stratton and the University of Maine at Farmington. She was married to Gerald (John) Tague, who died Feb. 21, 1981.

She moved to Massachusetts in 1996 and returned to Maine in 2002. On July 16, 2002, she moved to Wardwell Gardens in Saco. She worked as a proofreader at Knowlton McCleary Printing Co. in Farmington and also at Colonial Press in Clinton, Mass., and Williams Graphic in Wakefield, Mass.

She was a bail commissioner, notary public and served as a French interpreter for the police department in Farmington. She taught French and enjoyed working with children at Farmington schools, where she received a certificate of appreciation from SAD 9 as a school volunteer. She also taught French at the senior center in East Longmeadow, Mass.

She was a communicant at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farmington and also at Saint Cecelia’s Parish in Wilbraham, Mass. She was a serious reader and avid Red Sox fan. She adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Jerome Tague, and his wife, Loretta, of Highland, Ill.; three daughters, Constance Tague of Belchertown, Mass., Barbara Tague, and her husband, William Bell, of Saco and Lenora Tague Brandoli, and husband, Laurence, of Wilbraham, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many friends, nieces, nephews; and a beloved daughter-in-law, Leni Tague Evans of Edwardsville, Ill.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, a son, Robert William and a daughter, Beverly Dawn.
