Rep. Margaret Craven, D-Lewiston, welcomed Dana Zhumukbayeva, an exchange student from Kazakhstan, to the State House in Augusta on Feb. 1. Zhumukbayeva shadowed Craven as part of the Future Leaders Exchange Program, which aims to deepen exchange students’ knowledge of state and federal political branches. She also attended a Democratic press conference on their agenda for the 123rd Legislature.
