FARMINGTON – Joann Ryan, 61, of Kingfield, died Friday, Feb. 16, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 3, 1945, in Gulfport, Miss., a daughter of Nicholas A. and Lynette (Cullifer) Randazzo Sr. She graduated from Mississippi schools.
On Aug. 7, 1965, she married Fulton J. Ryan in Livorno/Pisa, Italy. They made their home in Kingfield, where she worked as a devoted and loving homemaker to her husband and children.
She was very involved in the community, having been a member of the Kingfield Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Kingfield American Legion Auxiliary. She worked at the voter polls, was involved in town meetings, organized the Christmas party for young children in Kingfield, worked for Meals on Wheels and the 4-H Club and was a strong supporter of the school district.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her mother, Lynette Randazzo, of Gulfport, Miss.; her husband, Fulton, of Kingfield; a son, John P. Ryan, his wife, Laurie, of Bangor, and their children, Nick, Mark and David; a daughter, Theresa Wright, her husband, Michael, of South China, and their children, Katherine and Christopher; a son, Thomas A. Ryan of Portland; a former daughter-in-law, Melinda, of Bangor; and brothers, Nicholas Randazzo of Gulfport, Miss., and Michael Randazzo of Ocean Spring, Miss.
She was predeceased by her father, Nicholas A. Randazzo, Sr.
