FRYEBURG – Miranda Maria Leavitt, 22, died due to complications with diabetes.
Born June 12, 1984, in El Salvador, she arrived in Fryeburg on Oct. 6, 1984, to her parents, Richard Leavitt and Brenda (Addario) Leavitt. She lived a very fulfilled, but short life.
In her lifetime, she was surrounded by many people who cared for her.
She had attended Andover College and was continuing her education through Kaplan College, where she was studying health and fitness.
She loved to travel and was very fortunate to have traveled to many places around the country and many Caribbean islands.
She always made lifelong friends throughout the journeys.
She also loved any aspect of art. She created jewelry, and many other handcrafts that she found as a means of therapy while she was recovering from her health issues.
She graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 2002.
She is going to be dearly missed by so many of her family and friends.
She was survived by her parents, Richard and Brenda (Addario) Leavitt; and two siblings, Alicia and Derek; her maternal grandparents, Josephine Addario and the late Joseph Addario; her paternal grandparents, Reuell (Bud) Leavitt and the late Lois Leavitt; her aunts and uncles, Nancy Mills, Paul Clark, Linda and Bill Hannigan, and Mark Leavitt; her cousins, Danielle Mills, Dionne and Perry Morneau, Dana and Allison Mills, Brian and Kelly Ruel, Bradley and Sandy Ruel, and Joseph Hannigan, in addition to many other cousins.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
