The state cheerleading championship was very successful for two local schools, St. Dom’s and Oak Hill. But nobody would ever know it at first glance in the Sun Journal (Feb. 11). Oak Hill came in second in Class B and St. Dom’s was third in Class C. There were three pictures the paper dedicated to the competition of the Mountain Valley High School team that finished third behind Oak Hill.

St Dom’s overcame a fourth-place finish in the conference finals, moving up to third in the state in Class C, a huge accomplishment for those dedicated ladies. What would it have been to have pictures of each deserving team?

I have to wonder if even Mountain Valley would have gotten photo exposure if EL and Lewiston competed.

Please be fair and spread the photo exposure accordingly. They are all well-deserving.
