PORTLAND (AP) – Mike Hartigan and Matt Keith tallied a goal and an assist each as the Portland Pirates skated past the Worcester Sharks 4-1 Sunday in the American Hockey League.
After a scoreless first period, the Sharks (25-20-3-6) grabbed the lead when Mike Iggulden scored a power play goal at 5:26 of the second.
Hartigan tied it at 7:10 of the second and Drew Miller scored the game-winner at 17:46.
The Pirates (24-20-2-7) scored twice on the power play in the third period. Keith sent the Pirates ahead 3-1 at 4:39 and Tim Brent iced the game at 10:04.
Portland goalie Sebastien Caron stopped 26 shots in the win. Worcester’s Dimitri Patzold made 29 saves.
The fifth-place Pirates now trail the fourth-place Sharks by two points in the AHL’s Atlantic Division.
