LEWISTON – Mark J. “Bud” Binette, 44, of College Street, Lewiston, died suddenly Feb. 17, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 16, 1962, a son of Alfred and Theresa (Roberge) Binette and grew up and attended Sanford schools. He was the only boy in the family with four older sisters who remember a younger brother full of life, adventure and willing to try just about anything once.

He had a love of the outdoors, riding snowmobiles, four wheeling with family and friends. He was always mechanically inclined which led him to learn welding and how to operate heavy equipment. He was employed with a local towing company in the Lewiston area.

He and his fiancée, Angela Pursley were looking forward to moving into their new home in June of this year. He would put other people’s needs before his own and on many occasions, he would offer to help a stranded motorist. He loved his two dogs, Tigga and Miss Moo Moo and would often visit local animal shelters and want to bring home “just one more.”

Survivors include his four sisters, Gloria Binette of Manchester, N.H., Dianne Seward, and husband, James, of Waterboro, Cathy Boutot, and husband, Peter, of Sanford and Gail Binette of Sanford; his fiancée, Angela Pursley of Lewiston; her children, Anthony Pursley, and wife, Jenna, her two daughters, Tabitha and Amber Pursley, all of Lewiston; his former wife, Leanne Binette and her children, Jon, Samantha and Kelly Scammon; and six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents.
