AUBURN – A Mass of Christian Burial for Viola B. Deshaies was held Monday at Sacred Heart Church, after prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston. The Rev. Frank Murray celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. During Mass readings were by by grandchildren, Susan Matthews, Tony Plante and Richard Fournier. The offertory was brought to the altar by Richard Marquis and June Fournier, children of Mrs. Deshaies. At communion, her son, Philip and his wife, Florine served as eucharistic ministers. Altar servers were great-grandchildren, Krystal Brooks, Haley Plante and Alissa Gosselin. At the conclusion of Mass words of remembrance were shared by her granddaughter, Kelly Gosselin. Pallbearers were Sharon Plante, Laurie Brooks, Kelly Gosselin, Richard Fournier, Rob Fournier and Susan Matthews. After the committal, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at Rolandeau’s Restaurant in Auburn.
