Allison Beckler of Canton has been accepted at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford and will begin August.
Beckler graduated cum laude from the University of New England in December 2006 with a bachelor of science in medical biology. During her undergraduate studies, she accepted an internship at the York Dialysis Center. She has continued to work at the center for three years as a patient care technician.
She participates in the college mentoring program, which serves the local areas. She was a teaching assistant for a semester at the university’s genetics lab.
Beckler is a 2003 graduate of Dirigo High School in Dixfield. She is the daughter of Douglas and Mary Lou Beckler of Canton.
