In an effort to block President Bush’s attempts at fighting and winning the current battle against the terrorists in Iraq, the Senate and House of Representatives are wasting their time and taxpayer dollars debating and trying to pass a nonbinding resolution to block the president’s proposed troop surge.
Not only is this demoralizing to our troops – whom these wimpy politicians claim to support – it sends a loud and clear message to our enemies worldwide that Americans no longer have the stomach to fight a war to completion, and victory.
How can anyone be against fighting this or any other battles against terrorists whose only objective in life is to annihilate America? Why do so many of us not get this?
If Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman in 1941-1945 had had to face the same partisan political obstructionism, and the American people’s lack of will to win that President George W. Bush has had to deal with in these trying times, one can only wonder what language Americans would be speaking in 2007.
